About Us

The New Era of HOMEOPATHic Medicine Has ARrived

It has been 50 years of prohibition regarding plant and fungal based medicines. That all changed in late 2020 in Washington DC Initiative 81 and the passing of the "Entheogenic Plant and Fungus Policy Act of 2020". On Dec 2, 2020 DC bill #23-1033 passed clearing the formal legislative path towards DC law. On March 16, 2021, what started as Initiative 81 became DC Law 23-268.

Rewinding that half century, The 1960's had a quiet peaceful counterculture movement to violence and war and political discourse. To be active and lend your voice to a movement, never required active fighting or a weapon. Our current 2021 "climate survey" shows daily domestic gun violence at all-time high levels masking and adding to systemic societal struggles with mental health. Our US health care systems are fractured and not focused on mental health or bolstering immune systems, as we emerge from a global viral pandemic that has ravaged the humans of earth. There has never been a better time in our history for another revolution inspired by our flower children ancestors of the 1960's era and the Summer of Love.

Sven Mantisse, Founder

Scientist, Activist, Educator

Classically trained in both lab bench microbiology & molecular biology focused on Translational Medicine, I recently left my day job as the Top Genomic Sales Employee for a multi-billion dollar Molecular Sciences company to find my true purpose with science and medicine at the level of the people and not the level of the doctors. I love science. I love helping people. I love "stickin' it to the man" and I love modern medicine and biophysiology. When I funnel it all together, I love staking a leadership role in amplifying this decades overdue conversation with the voices of the people... by the people... for the people. The time to jumpstart a revolution in modern citizen science and medicine has arrived.

Jumpstart81dc is a grassroots personal & group activist movement forged from my passions for lab bench science, teaching and modern age personalized medicine fused with the neuroscience done in the "clinic of myself". Now my purpose is to share it and teach it to others.

Personally struggling with anxiety and depression has been an on again off again battle for decades. In November 2019, I was burned out from corporate life when I learned about Terence McKenna's fringe evolutionary theory called the "Stoned Ape Hypothesis". This theory turned a line into a circle in my brain and really was the circle of life in my mind's eye. I pulled myself out of depression in April 2020 at home during the pandemic, by replicated Paul Stamets 2017 patent, affectionately known as The Stack for Neurogenesis, which contains psilocybin. My training teaches me it has utility well beyond my mild by chronic depression.
